Inconel 601
Aurico Alloys LLP supplies Inconel 601 (UNS N06601, W.Nr. 2.4851) as sheet, plate, coil, round bar, wire, pipe, tube and fittings, from Mumbai, India, with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates. It delivers outstanding oxidation and scaling resistance up to about 1200°C for industrial furnaces, superheater supports, petrochemical heaters and flares.
Key Properties
- Aluminium 1.0-1.7% is the addition Inconel 600 does not have, and it is what forms the tightly adherent oxide scale.
- Nickel 58-63% with chromium 21-25% on an iron balance — less nickel and more chromium than 600.
- Resistant to cyclic oxidation, where a scale that spalls on cooling is the failure mode.
- Carbon to 0.10% maximum.
