Inconel 625 Wire Supplier, Stockist and Exporter

Aurico Alloys LLP supplies Inconel 625 wire (N06625, Werkstoff 2.4856) to ISO 9724, and welding wire to AMS 5837, from Mumbai, to customers across India and in more than 40 export markets.

625 wire is bought for two quite different jobs. One is wire forms that sit in seawater or chloride brine – springs, cold-headed fasteners, woven and knitted mesh – where stainless wire would pit. The other is welding: 625 is among the most widely used nickel filler alloys, for joining 625 itself, for dissimilar-metal welds and for corrosion-resistant overlay on steel. The two are ordered to different certifications.

Mechanical and Physical Properties

Properties follow the temper ordered. Annealed wire matches annealed 625, around 830–965 MPa tensile with yield above 415 MPa, while spring and hard-drawn tempers are considerably stronger. The certificate states the tensile result for the temper supplied.

Industry Applications

Why Inconel 625 wire

For wire forms, the reason is corrosion: a spring or a mesh in seawater has a large surface for its weight, so pitting that would be tolerable on a pipe wall is fatal to a thin wire, and 625’s molybdenum and niobium prevent it. For welding, order it as filler metal – AMS 5837 is the aerospace welding-wire specification for 625, and filler is certified as a welding consumable rather than as general wire – and say so at enquiry.

Where Inconel 625 wire is specified
IndustryTypical use
MarineSprings, fasteners and mesh in seawater service.
Offshore oil and gasWire forms in chloride brine and sour environments.
FabricationFiller metal for 625, dissimilar-metal joints and overlay, ordered as a welding consumable.
Chemical processingKnitted mesh and wire parts in chloride-bearing acid service.

Testing and Certification

Every coil or spool is traceable to its heat on an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate stating chemical analysis and the tensile result for the temper supplied. Diameter is checked against the ordered tolerance, and positive material identification and third-party inspection are available under our ISO 9001:2015 system.
