Inconel 617 Wire Supplier, Stockist and Exporter

Aurico Alloys LLP supplies Inconel 617 wire (N06617, Werkstoff 2.4663) to ASTM B166 and ISO 9724 from Mumbai, to customers across India and in more than 40 export markets.

Most buyers of 617 wire are building or repairing something already made of 617 – a combustor, a boiler header, a reactor internal – and need wire that matches it. The rest need wire forms that keep their strength above 1000°C: supports, ties and fixtures inside hot equipment where a lighter alloy would creep and sag.

Mechanical and Physical Properties

Wire properties follow the temper ordered, and the certificate states the tensile result for the temper supplied. In service, what 617 wire offers is creep-rupture strength between 800 and 1100°C, where it leads the solid-solution nickel alloys.

Industry Applications

Why Inconel 617 wire

If the wire is for welding 617, order it as filler metal: the Special Metals bulletin lists a matching 617 filler, and welding consumables are certified to a welding classification rather than to ASTM B166. Wire to B166 or ISO 9724 is for wire forms – supports, ties, springs and mesh – that have to carry some load hot. Tell us which you need at enquiry, because the certificate differs.

Where Inconel 617 wire is specified
IndustryTypical use
FabricationWire for joining and repairing 617 components, ordered as filler metal.
AerospaceHot-section supports, ties and lock wire.
Heat treatmentFixtures and hangers that carry load above 1000°C.
Power generationWire parts inside high-temperature boiler and turbine equipment.

Testing and Certification

Every coil or spool is traceable to its heat on an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate stating chemical analysis and the tensile result for the temper supplied. Diameter is checked against the ordered tolerance and positive material identification confirms the cobalt-bearing grade; third-party inspection can be arranged under our ISO 9001:2015 system.
