Hastelloy C4

Aurico Alloys LLP supplies Hastelloy C4 as sheet, plate, foil and round bar, from Mumbai, India, with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates.

Hastelloy® C-4 (UNS N06455, W.Nr. 2.4610) carries chromium 14-18% and molybdenum 14-17%, close to C-276, but with no tungsten and titanium to 0.7%. It was developed for thermal stability: it holds ductility and corrosion resistance after exposure in the sensitising range better than the tungsten-bearing grades.

No tungsten, which is the composition difference from C-276 and the reason for the stability.
Titanium to 0.7% stabilising the carbides.
Chromium 14-18%, molybdenum 14-17%, carbon 0.015% maximum.
Chosen where thermal history is the risk — heavy welded fabrications and long exposure at intermediate temperature.
